It all begins with an idea.

Wow! God sure has a way of taking you for a ride. We are writing you because we want to update you on the next turn our lives are taking.

Serving at First Independent Methodist Church of Madison Ms for almost 10 years has been a rewarding challenge. Now we believe God is calling us to a new ministry that is very close to the heart of FIMC. We are moving to Brandon, MS to start a new church called Heart Church! Brandon is in desperate need of good churches and we feel like God has been preparing us to meet that need. This will be a very faith-stretching experience and we ask for your prayers and support. Hannah and I have been praying for the last 4 years about this project and it never felt like God was giving us the “go ahead” …until now.

My family is very excited about the starting Heart Church. Our desire as a family is to see people fall in love with the person of Jesus Christ. Our little girl, Ellie, was just born on September 12, 2019. She is a bundle of joy and full of excitement. She too, is excited about the plant. Also, we will be having another little one coming in March of 2022. We are going to call him Rowe. I look forward to raising our kids while also raising up the community in Brandon to know Jesus as their personal Savior.

We are preparing to move to Brandon in the summer of 2022. Several people are praying about stepping out in faith and joining us in this move to Brandon. No one will have to get new jobs because they will only be 30 mins away from where they currently work. Which is really nice. God is amazing and we are so thankful for people who have seen the need for churches in Brandon and are responding to God’s call to serve this city!

When we move, our plan is to start learning the culture, serving the needs of the community, and making disciples. We will rent a school, theater, or store front so we can begin having worship services in the fall. As God provides, we will be hiring a worship leader/student pastor and a children’s minister to join our team.

FIMC of Madison and 1000 Churches has trained and prepared us for this mission. Dwight Nash CEO of 1000 Churches is training me and will continue to coach me along the way up to our launch day in the fall of 2022. FIMC of Madison is supporting us with some services. FIMC of Madison, and AIM have endorsed us and are also excited about this project!
